Monday 16th October – bike ** – Two Rivers, Deben to the Orwell –
Sunny moning then cloud with light rain.
Got up early and walked down to Felixstowe seafront to catch the sunrise
and boy was it cold arriving on the prom at 7.45. There was a nice band of
red on the horizon and I stayed around the pier as the sky turned red
before the sun showed its face, it was really lovely despite the cold! Home
to send sort the pics out and send them to the local TV weather, I had 3
chosen as Editers Pick on the BBC but I don’t think they are going to use
any? After breakfast I managed to do my exercises in the warm corner in the
back garden before we headed of to Lidl. Then after lunch with Mag making
chutney I decided to head off on my bike despite the fact it had clouded
over and looked like rain! Not that pleasant out and about, a tad on the
chilly side still as I headed over to Marsh Lane, along the Deben path to
Felixstowe Ferry. Past the golf course to The Dip, around to The Fludyers
with rain falling out to sea and bumped into Mag who was out on her walk. I
continued to the end of the prom, whizzing across Landguard to the view
point as the foot ferry heded out into the grey with some very light rain.
Back home via Langer Park for a warming cuppa. A storm is coming for a
windy week, can’t sail tomorrow as the van is in for a service/mot and
now getting too cold for me to consider open sea sailing so will hve to see
what happens???
PS - cracked it again today as I managed to get a pic on both ITV and the
BBC:)
